Loise lives in Kangemi, Kenya and is the mother of a teenage son. She makes and sells handmade soap in the markets for a living. Loise was introduced to embroidery by a friend in 2020 as part of the Nairobi COVID Quilts, with her depiction of a girl taking precautions to wash her hands to avoid catching COVID. Loise embroidered a rhinoceros as part of the Sister Artist 2 Kenya Project. Her rhinoceros was quilted by Christine in Wilmington in the colorful piece titled “Sunshine on Kenya”.
