Roseanne Njorge

Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya

RoseAnn lives in Nairobi with her two children, one of whom has albinism. RoseAnn was one of twenty members of the Albinism Society of Kenya (ASK) who received embroidery training in the summer of 2021 to make stories for the Kenyan Albinism Quilts. Her story showed a father who has taken to drink to drown his disappointment at having a son with albinism. RoseAnn is associated with Shield of Faith, the women’s association in Kibera, and is so fond of stitching that she made an embroidered square to celebrate a friend's anniversary. RoseAnn hopes that this store will help her to find a market for her work.
