Rutendo, 19, lives in Epworth, Zimbabwe with her father, stepmother and older sister. Together with her sister Rutendo participates in the program by Women Advocacy Project to empower girls through making embroidery and selling soap. She first learned embroidery in school and has enjoyed learning and using different stitches through this project which she hopes to use on her own clothes. Rutendo also hopes to continue her education and eventually become a social worker in rural areas of Zimbabwe.
